Does SafX work without internet?

Yes. If an emergency alert cannot reach SafX within 8 seconds, your phone sends a text message directly to up to 5 contacts you chose, containing your location and a map link. Position samples are also queued on the device and uploaded when connectivity returns.

Is my location data private?

Yes. Your location is shared only with the trusted contacts and monitors you approved, and you can see exactly who has access and revoke it at any time. Chat messages are encrypted on your device. SafX does not sell or trade your personal data.

How do I know who is tracking me on SafX?

Open Family Monitor and select the Monitoring You tab. It names every person approved to monitor you, each with a Remove access button. Also check pending requests, any active public share links, live shares running in a chat, and the agency sharing switch in Settings.

Which devices does SafX support?

SafX runs on Android and iPhone, with companion apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS. There is also a web version, but it is a read-only companion for viewing alerts, chat and maps — it does not track your location and cannot trigger an alert in the background.
