SafX Help Center
Step-by-step guides for getting started, building your safety network, sending and receiving alerts, using the live map and chat, reading reports, community watch, wearables, connected devices, billing and account deletion.
- Getting Started — SafX only works in an emergency if it was set up before the emergency. This is the shortest path from a fresh install to an account that can actually raise an alarm and be found.
- Android, iPhone & Web — The three platforms are not equivalent, and the differences matter in an emergency. Android can do the most in the background, iPhone is restricted by Apple in two specific ways, and the web version cannot track you at all.
- Home Screen — Home is the first screen after sign-in. It combines your conversations, your safety score, the people in your network, and the SOS button itself.
- Emergency & SOS — SafX can raise an alarm from the SOS button, from shaking the phone, from a detected car crash, or from a paired watch. All four run through the same countdown and the same delivery path.
- Offline Mode (SMS) — If your emergency alert cannot reach SafX within 8 seconds, your phone sends a text message straight to the contacts you chose. It uses your own mobile line, so it works where data does not, and your network charges you for it.
- Alerts — Alerts is where an active emergency lives, where your history is kept, and where you go when someone in your network needs help.
- Incident Reports — Every emergency produces an incident report: where you were, what was captured, who was notified, and what the device was doing. Reports are a Pro feature.
- Your Network — Your network is the set of people who receive your emergency alerts and can see you when you allow it. Connections are made with short keys and always require both sides to agree.
- Who Can See Me — There are five separate ways someone can see where you are in SafX. Each one has its own screen, each one shows you a list of who has access, and each one can be revoked from that same screen.
- Live Map — The Live Map shows the current position of the people who share with you, with speed, motion state and how fresh each position is. It is a Pro feature.
- Family Monitor — Family Monitor lets an approved person follow someone’s movement, set safe zones with arrival and departure alerts, and review a daily timeline. Access always requires a request and an approval.
- GPS Trackers — SafX pairs with GPS tracker hardware bought from the SafX shop. A tracker is registered by its IMEI, appears on the map alongside people, and can be shared with others.
- Smartwatches — A paired watch can trigger an SOS, report its own location, and cache readings while offline. One watch can be paired at a time.
- Chat & Calls — Chat covers one-to-one and group conversations with your connected contacts, voice and video calls, disappearing messages, attachments, and live location sharing inside a thread.
- Communities & Status — Bring people together in topic groups, share announcements, and post updates for your contacts.
- Community Watch — Community Watch shows incident reports raised by other SafX users within a radius of you, and lets you post your own. Posts are moderated before they appear.
- Safe Navigation — SafX includes a full-screen navigation view with turn-by-turn directions, so you can travel to a destination without leaving the app that is watching over you.
- Settings Map — Settings is organised into seven tabs. This is what each one contains, so you can find a control without hunting for it. There is also a search box at the top of Settings that jumps straight to any control.
- Troubleshooting — Almost every SafX problem is one of four things: a permission, a phone power setting, a missing connection, or no network. This walks each one down to the exact screen.
- Plans & Billing — Core safety features are free. Pro adds Live Map, Location History, Activity Timeline, Reports and Family Monitor. Payment runs through the gateway available in your country, or by manual bank transfer.
- Your Data — SafX does not sell your personal data. This explains what is collected, what each piece is used for, who it can reach, how long it is kept, and how to exercise your rights over it.
- Delete Account — You can delete the whole account or only chosen categories. Deletion is handled as a tracked, auditable request rather than an instant wipe, and full deletion cannot be undone.
