A complete map of the SafX settings screen
Settings is organised into seven tabs. This is what each one contains, so you can find a control without hunting for it. There is also a search box at the top of Settings that jumps straight to any control.
- Search Settings instead of hunting — The search box matches control names and common synonyms, then jumps to the exact row.
- Profile tab — Who you are, and who to reach on your behalf.
- Safety tab — How an emergency is triggered, how you are located, and what is recorded.
- Alerts tab — How alerts reach you, and what the app does with the camera and microphone.
- SMS tab — Emergency SMS fallback. Contacts and the delivery log appear once it is switched on.
- Device tab — Permissions, the phone settings that keep tracking alive, and native diagnostics.
- Account tab — Sign-in security, what you share, how long it is kept, and deletion.
- Theme tab — Light or dark, and the app colour theme.
- Changing your password — Requires your current password, and a new one meeting the strength rule.
- Turning on two-factor authentication — A 6-digit code emailed to you after your password at sign-in.
- Common problems and fixes — Settings that will not change, and switches that flip back.

Where is a particular setting in SafX?
Use the search box at the top of Settings. It indexes every control by name, description and common synonyms, and jumps straight to the right tab, sub-section and row. Settings itself is organised into seven tabs: Profile, Safety, Alerts, SMS, Device, Account and Theme.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication in SafX?
Go to Settings -> Account -> Sign-in security -> Two-factor authentication and tap "Turn on email 2FA". Enter the 6-digit code SafX emails you and tap Verify. To turn it off later you need your password.
