Frequently asked questions

Does SafX sell my personal data?

No. SafX does not sell or trade personal data. Your location, movements, messages, emergency evidence and contacts are not made available to data brokers or advertisers. SafX also does not knowingly provide precise emergency location, family-monitoring data, emergency evidence, private chat content or GPS tracker history to advertising providers for behavioural advertising.

What does SafX do with my location data?

It is used to send emergency alerts that say where you are, to share your live position with the contacts and monitors you approved, for Family Monitor zones and timelines, and for crash and shake response. It is shared only with people you approved, plus registered security agencies during an emergency if agency sharing is left on. You control how long it is kept, from 1 to 365 days, in Settings -> Account -> Privacy & sharing.

How do I ask SafX to delete my data?

For selected categories, go to Settings -> Account -> Delete -> Delete specific data and choose from twelve categories including location history, chat history and emergency records. For the whole account, use "Request deletion" on the same screen. Both create an auditable request. The full policy is at https://safx.net/legal/account-deletion.

Is my SafX data encrypted?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS and TLS, direct chat messages are encrypted on the device with a key derived from your password, passwords are hashed, and access is token-based, rate-limited, role-restricted and audited.
