Deleting your SafX account, what is removed, and what is kept
You can delete the whole account or only chosen categories. Deletion is handled as a tracked, auditable request rather than an instant wipe, and full deletion cannot be undone.
- Two different requests — Delete everything, or delete only what you want gone.
- Requesting deletion in the app — Settings, Account tab, Delete.
- If you cannot sign in — Email from the address on the account.
- How long it takes — Most data within 30 days of verification, backups within a further 30.
- What may be retained, and why — A minimum set of records kept for legal, safety and anti-fraud reasons.
- Your email address is blocked from re-registering for a period — A limited safeguard record, two years by default.
- What you lose — Full deletion is generally irreversible.
- Children and monitored users — A parent or authorised guardian can request deletion of child-related records.
- Common questions — What people ask before deleting.
Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my SafX account?
Sign in, open Settings -> Account -> Delete, and tap "Request deletion". SafX creates an auditable ticket for review. Most account-linked data is removed from active systems within 30 days of verification, with encrypted backups purged on their normal cycle within a further 30 days. If you cannot sign in, email info@safx.net from the account email with "Account deletion request" in the subject.
Can I delete only some of my SafX data?
Yes. Settings -> Account -> Delete -> "Choose data" lets you delete individual categories, including location history, chat history, emergency alerts and evidence, Family Monitor data, wearable pairings, GPS tracker data, community posts and activity logs, while keeping your account.
What does SafX keep after I delete my account?
A minimum set of records: billing and tax records for as long as the law requires, security and deletion audit logs generally up to twelve months, emergency evidence and incident records where needed for safety or legal claims, and a blocked-email record for two years by default to prevent immediate re-registration abuse.
