The Alerts page, responding to someone else’s emergency, and the emergency room
Alerts is where an active emergency lives, where your history is kept, and where you go when someone in your network needs help.
- What the Alerts page shows — The current emergency at the top, then everything that has happened before.
- When someone in your network raises an alarm — You get a push notification, and can open their live position immediately.
- The emergency room: live audio and video — A live session tied to one incident, available only while that emergency is active.
- Controlling how alerts reach you — Push, email, and the sound and vibration style.
- Reading your alert history — Every alert you have raised, with its trigger and outcome.
- Common problems and fixes — Mostly delivery problems, and mostly on the receiving side.
Frequently asked questions
How do I respond to a SafX emergency alert from a contact?
Open the push notification to see who raised it and where they were. Follow their live position on the map, join the emergency group chat created for the incident, and if they enabled live guardian audio and video, join the emergency room. You will only receive these notifications if notification permission is granted and push notifications are enabled in Settings -> Alerts.
What is the SafX emergency room?
A live audio and video session tied to a single emergency. It only opens if the person in trouble enabled "Let guardians join live" in Settings -> Alerts -> Live & AI, it exists only while that emergency is active, and every session is audited and recorded on the incident report.
